Thursday, May 23, 5:30 pm: Using the Labyrinth w/ Marian Beckman

WHY THE LABYRINTH IS IMPORTANT FOR GOODELL GARDENS

The Goodells desired that visitors "may come to enjoy the solitude and quiet, as well as the natural beauty that will be maintained therein for ... pleasure and enjoyment. ... The Gardens will be a place of beauty, seeking to inspire and refresh the mind, body, and spirit" (Goodell Gardens & Homestead Master Plan 2004)

If you have never walked a labyrinth or if you have walked 100 times, please come and share some time with us to learn the use of the labyrinth and how to spend time in contemplation and reflection. The labyrinth literally reintroduces the experience of walking a clearly defined path. This reminds us that there is a path, a process that brings us to unity, to the center of our beings. In the simple act of walking, the soul finds solace and peace. 

Admission to this first Thankful Thursday evening will be on a donation basis.
