DETENTION is a high-energy pop-punk, alt rock band of teenagers from Akron, Ohio. During 2021, they performed at Wonderstruck Music Festival in Cleveland, Wonderbus Music Festival in Columbus Ohio among headliners Portugal The Man, AJR, Kesha, AJR and Dayglow.

DETENTION­­­­ played at the world-famous Whisky a Go Go in LA and had crowd-surfing fans as they won the 24th Annual Tri-C High School Rock Off at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio. Barry Gabel, Senior Vice President for Live Nation said, “The band was tight, fun, exciting, and had the audience going crazy!”

Chip & the Charge Ups, voted Pittsburgh's 'best rock band,' bring pop-punk energy on latest release! We are very excited to host these two award winning bands on the same night! With an Erie local favorite group OKAY!? performing ahead of them!
