Professional Photographer Registration & Access Agreement
To help preserve our sunflower fields and provide an enjoyable experience for all guests, professional photographers conducting paid photography sessions on our private property must comply with the following rules and requirements.
Registration
- All photographers conducting paid, promotional, or commercial photography sessions must purchase a valid Seasonal Photographer Pass.
- This applies to mini-sessions on our properties that extend from the Battles White House past the Yellow House and encompasses all sunflower fields.
- The Seasonal Photographer Pass fee is $150 per season per photographer.
- The pass is non-transferable and valid only for the registered photographer.
Field Preservation
Photographers are responsible for helping protect the sunflower fields and surrounding property.
Photographers, their assistants, and clients agree to:
- Stay within designated public access areas.
- Not cut, pick, damage, or remove flowers, plants, or other property.
- Not create paths or barriers.
- Not enter restricted events-only areas.
- Leave all areas in the same condition in which they were found.
Any photographer whose actions result in damage to crops or property may have their pass revoked without refund.
Photography passes do not permit interior photo sessions.
No sessions can take place in the Battles property houses.
Props and Equipment
- Photographers must provide their own props and equipment.
- All props, decorations, furniture, and equipment must be removed immediately following each session.
- No materials that could damage the property or create litter are permitted.
- Photographers are responsible for cleaning up all items brought onto the property.
Courtesy to Other Guests
- The sunflower fields remain open to the public.
- Photographers may not block pathways, fields, attractions, parking areas, or access points.
- No area of the farm may be reserved.
- Photographers and clients must be respectful of other guests and staff at all times.
Animals
- Pets are not permitted on the property.
Liability
- Photographers assume responsibility for their clients, assistants, equipment, and activities while on the property.
- The Hagen History Center is not responsible for injury, loss, theft, or damage to persons or property.
- Photographers shall indemnify and hold harmless the Hagen History Center from claims arising from their photography activities.
Revocation
Failure to follow these rules may result in immediate removal from the property and revocation of photography privileges without refund.
By purchasing a Seasonal Photographer Pass, the photographer acknowledges and agrees to these terms.
Identification Requirement
Registered photographers will be issued a laminated photographer pass on a lanyard and must display the pass while conducting photography sessions on the property.
AFTER REGISTERING, photographer passes will be created and will be available starting July 30. Pick up is at 356 West 6th Street Tuesday through Thursday from 10 am. to 3 p.m. The pass must be visible at all times while on the property.
