In a dystopian, Gotham-like city, a grueling 20-year drought has stripped away the most basic of human rights. Private toilets are outlawed, and the "privilege to pee" is strictly controlled by a single, malevolent corporation: Urine Good Company. Under the iron fist of Caldwell B. Cladwell, the poor must pay to use public amenities, or face the terrifying consequences of being sent to the mysterious "Urinetown."

PACA is proud to bring this Tony Award-winning satire to the 1505 State Street stage. Urinetown is a hilarious, unapologetic send-up of capitalism, social irresponsibility, bureaucracy, and musical theater itself. As Bobby Strong leads a ragtag rebellion for the right to relief, the audience is treated to a whip-smart narrative that is as thought-provoking as it is absurd.
